Both the Kingwood softball and baseball teams suffered heartbreaking 1-run losses tonight as the Mustangs’ baseball team fell to District 16-5A front runners Baytown Sterling 7-6 in nine innings after overcoming a six-run deficit (recap).
In what turned out to be a defensive, pitchers battle between the Lady Mustangs and Pasadena Dobie, Kingwood fell 1-0 in the bi-district round.
Dobie drove in the games only run in the fourth inning and never looked back, despite Kingwood coming up with one more hit than their District 22-5A opponents.
