K-Park does it again 17 March 2008

Once again, Kingwood Park has landed both its girls and boys teams in the playoffs, this time in soccer.
While the girls had already clinched a playoff spot, they locked up second place in District 22-3A thanks to Jamie Luis goal in the 51′ on an assist from Nicole DiSevo to put the Lady Panthers over Willis 1-0.
The girls will see either Port Neches-Groves or Nederland in the first round. The game is tentatively scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m. at Deer Park’s Abshier Stadium, a real nice venue.
The boys needed a win to help lock up the third and final playoff spot, sealing the deal with a 6-0 thrashing of Willis. Juan Castillo led the way with three goals, while John Drew, Lance Draper and Casen Hunger each added goals of their own.
The boys will match-up with Nederland, tentatively scheduled for Friday at 8 p.m. at Crosby High School. I’ll be posting soccer playoff updates all week, so stay tuned.
